Natures Beauty

We start a new challenge over at Try it on Tuesday.
For the next two weeks our theme is: Natures Beauty.
Think about flowers. plants...animals.... scenes etc... and enjoy
the beauty of  nature .
As always what you make, the style, mediums, materials etc.
is entirely up to yourselves.
Please pop over to the main blog and get inspired by the beautiful
makes of my teamies.

Pop this on your blog to find us fast!

My take on the theme is a bookmark  with stenciled background and stamped flowers and plants.
I was inspired by the beautiful sunset colours I have seen one day.

In the Meadow

Our new challenge over at Stamps and Stencils for the next month is hosted by Rachel.
She wants to see your interpretation of the theme In the Meadow which could involve lots of grasses, wildlife or whatever you think.
Just make sure you use stamps, stencils or both in your make!
The design team have created some amazing inspirational projects, so please pop over and take a look.
I hope you will join us as I’m looking forward to seeing all of your creations!

My take on the theme is a  page in an old book I use for an art journal.
I made some masterboard earlier and a piece of it served as my background.
I was inspired by the look of a meadow in a hot, summer day.

That's why I first  made the shadows of the plants with black gesso and the stencil.

The shadows were outlined with white gelly roll pen.

The ,,proper" flowers were stenciled, fussy cut and glued to the background.
I outlined them too.
I attached the base to my page and finished it off by adding some stamping and some stickers.

Dorothy

Today we kick off the new challenge over at Try it on Tuesday
This time our theme is: Recycle Something
We are sure you will all be able to find something[ small or large]  that you could re-use in some way.
The style, mediums and materials you use is entirely up to yourselves.
Be sure to tell us what you used.

Please pop to the main blog to see some fantastic inspiration from my teamies.

Pop this on your blog to find us fast!

My take on the theme is an altered doll.
Please meet Dorothy straight from The Wizard of Oz.

Dorothy is 11 cm tall and was made from a broken dolly, a small tin  and lots of  trash and oddments from my stash.

I  have used gel heavy body matt to put all the pieces together.

You can open the small tin and see  Dorothy's inside.

I decided to give her  two queer legs.

Hope you like her as much as I do....
