Today is my turn to inspire you over at mixedmediamojo. I made a set of 3 ATCs. Be sure to visitthe blogwhere I am sharing all the details. I am joining atcaroundtheworld challenge, where the theme is ,,fantasie''.
Today I would like to show you my small (5x6 cm) altered metal case.
I made it for my husband Andrzej, who is due to hospital for a serious surgery next week. Something he could keep in a pocket to cheer him up.
He is a retired Navy officer that's why I used some naval accents.
The inscription means ,, Go bravely".
I started with gluing some pieces of paper towel to the case. Then I gessoed all and added chipboars inside it. Then it was time for colouring all with inks, mists and gelatos. I also rubbed some Inka Gold cooper to the surface.
Next I added some stamped images, metal embellishments and stenciled some crackles.
Inspired by the challenge over at paperartsy, where the theme is hidden object I have altered pink Barbie wardrobe (found at second hand shop) and made 11 cm high niche for our domestic angel.
First I gave it a thick coat of gesso, glued some lace on the front panels and add some washi tape inside. Then I painted all with acrylic paints, misted with Glimmer mists and rubbed some Inka Gold on the top.
I stamped the cup, attached a fussy cut girl and gold wings brads.
The final touch is a little flower and some metal plaque.
The June's theme over at lessology is ,,Lace up''. I made a card using pieces of my old dress
I glued them onto the corrugated cardboard and added more lace
Next it was time to add chipboards, a flower and pieces of gauze. It was all primed with heavy gesso and coloured with various inks and sprays. I have also stamped a bit on the left, but it's hard to see:).
The theme is Shadow Box and this is my take on the theme.
My latest craze is altering cans.
This is a fish can, but doesn't stink at all (I swear).
I started with priming it with black gesso. Then I glued some chipboards and resin pieces to give ,,the wall'' some texture. Next I painted all with acrylic paint, sprayed with Dylusions ink and rubbed some Inka Gold. I added hand made table, a stool, a portrait and an old bulb to ,,the room". Finished all with some metal embellishments, a glass bottle with flowers and the crafting girl.
Summer is the theme of a new challenge over at Mixed Media Mojo. The twist is Monochromatic.
This is my take on the theme: an altered gift bag for my friend. Every year she gives a beach party opening the summer season, that's why I have created some kind of a beach scene for her. I started with priming the bag with gesso, than added some texture by using texture paste through the stencil. I fussy cut the images of the shells from the tissue paper then glued them with gel medium. I also attached three real shells and some twine to my project. Then it was time for some inking, misting and stamping. I have used heat embossing too.
