It is time to start a new challenge today over at Try it on Tuesday. I think we all have had enough of this winter this year and we are all looking forward to seeing sun and nature awakening to new life. We have a wonderful moodboard by Valerie to inspire you today:
As always the style, mediums , materials etc that you use will be entirely up to yourselves.
We enjoyed using the board , what will inspire you?
Will it be ....Spring, the colours, the blossom, the birds etc. etc.
we look forward to seeing what you make.
There are lots of lovely and inspiring ideas from our DT. Hop across and checkout their posts and can't wait to see what you create!
My take on the theme is a journal page inspired by our moodboard and blooming fruit trees.
Today is my turn to bring you an Inspirational post over at Stamps and Stencils inspired by the current challenge theme Wax Lyrical.
Although I am not an expert in this field I would like to show you that anyone could play with wax, even not having special, fancy tools! I can guarantee you great fun! Pop over to the main blog to see how I made this card. There is still plenty of time for you to enter our current challenge and we hope you will join us.
Hi! It is March 1 today so we start a new challenge over at Stamps and Stencils.
Sue is our host for this month and she has chosen the theme:
For this challenge she wants to see some wax on your projects, whether it's just dribbled, melted and then stamped into or a wax embellishment as long as you include some stamping or stencilling the choice is yours !
I have to make a confession. I didn't have any idea for my piece at all.
Suddenly I remembered the old play-reading liquid wax to tell smb future.
I didn't hesitate at all and melted a candle. Then I just poured the liquid to the cold water in a bowl. You can see the result here:
I thought it looked like a flower so I decided to give it a go.
The flower was painted with black and old gold acrylic paints and partly covered with glitter.
I decided to place it on a tag from craft paper, earlier stenciled with gold paint.
More stenciling with brown Distress ink.
I also added some text stamping and finished the tag off with some black, textil stickers.
