Matchboxes

It all started with the stamps from Paper Artsy which I won in a blog candy.
I just love them!
Somewhere in a blogland I have also seen great paper dolls made from matchboxes and they inspired me to made this shadow box.
Creative upcycling makes me very happy and I love to use ordinary items surrounding us.
As always you can see some stages of my creative process.
For the paper dolls I used some Gelli Plate prints I made earlier.

For Marcin

It is my older son's birthday today and I still can't believe he is already 37.
I wanted to make him a special Angel, featuring his favourite activities:
bird watching and tinkering.

I made a little assemblage in a small (6 x 11 cm) can, using some resin elements which I coloured with inks and acrylic paints.
I have also used some metal parts and my favourite goggles. Love them!

Love Mini Album

For some time I have wanted to make something for my granddaughter Maya and I decided on mini album with some great quotes about love.

I can only hope she will find love and happiness on the way of her life.

 The album is made from one piece of A4 paper.

It has got 3 pockets with additional tags in them.

I have used my gelli plate prints to cover the pages than stamps and scraps to embellish it.

Forever 59

Today I want to share with you an altered metal lantern with the original dial from the old clock
 Lots of mixed media products were used here but I have to mention artExtravagance  Rust Effect Paste from Prima - it really worked!
                                        

                                            

It was my way to  honour the memory of my dear husband in my own positive way.

He passed away 3 years ago at the age of 59 and I missed him every single day.

I just want to share a card I made for my friend's birthday.

The background is a gelli plate print with additional stamping.

The butterflies are die cut and hot embossed later.

I wonder if you can see some very tiny, sparkly gems- they are nail art stuff

(my latest faves).

Recycling

Today I have recycled a small (6x6x6 cm) box. 

You can follow some of my stages in the process:

Gluing some lace to the box with gel medium

Embellishing the lid than covering all with gesso

Adding the colour with Distress inks and Gelatos

More colouring and splashing 

To finish off my project I added some glass balls and tiny metal stars.

They are actually designed for nails  but who cares ;)
