On this day...

It is time to start a brand new challenge over at Try it on Tuesday. 
Let's get messy is our theme this time.
We would like you to have some fun with the theme and use lots of colour, paint, inks etc.
Lots of inspiration by the team as well if you visit TIOT.  

                                

This is  what I came up with! 
That's a mixed media card on a thin canvas background.
Have used a lot of inks and mists along with some paper scraps and micro beads.
Hope you like it!

You make me smile

I love this photo of my dearest granddaughter and just wanted to embellish it a bit.

As always I am sharing a few steps of the progress:

I have used an old heart shaped hanging.

You can see a lot of chipboard pieces glued to the background and covered with gesso. I have also put some texture paste through the stencil.

Starting colouring all with gelatos.

More gelatos and  Ayeeda Mists( 13 arts)

I made this shadowbox for Łucja- the devoted fan of The Beatles, for her birthday.
It was a great pleasure for me- brought some fabulous memories from the past!
I loved their songs and I still do!

Calendar

It is Tuesday today and time for a brand new challenge at Try it on Tuesday

The theme currently is Anything But Square

This is a calendar which was attached to my fav magazine. As I didn't quite like the colours I decided to alter its cover.

                                                           

I glued some scraps of paper to the cover.

Gave the surface  a good wash of the paint.

Sprayed some Dylusions inks. 

Stamped with white Brilliance ink.

To finish off I added some white gesso through the diamond stencil and some text stamping in black ink.

I have also glued the round numbers.

La vie

I have made a tag with a very simple message for myself: Life is beautiful. 
Being constantly struggling with depression I seem to forget this simple thing and I need a piece I can look at and repeat the words.
So it is a kind of a plan for 2017- stick to the words: La vie est belle!

I went green with this project as I brought into play baby wipes early used for mopping the inks in another works. 
The lettering is cut from perfume packaging (wonderful Christmas present).

Chest of drawers

A Tissue is our very first challenge in 2017 over at TRY IT ON TUESDAY.

My take on the theme is an altered chest of drawers.

As usual you can find some of my steps beneath.

It is time for a tissue!

Some stenciling with texture paste.

Flower made from eggs container.

Lots of junk and bits from my drawers.

There are some microbeads too.

All covered with gesso.

Fav part- inking, spraying and splashing.

To finish off I added some metal legs, knobs and a vintage key. 

I have also stamped some diamond pattern.
