Never give up

It is time for a new challenge over at Try it on Tuesday and this time the theme is: Book Pages. 

This challenge we would like to see a piece of book print somewhere on your entry.

 Check out what our amazing DT created this time.

                                                   

I have made a kind of home decor for my new home.

I thought I could show you a few steps:

  

Started with an old manual book.

I hollowed it out a bit with a sharp knife.

                                                            

Arranged some decoration including  a flower, some thread, scraps and metal parts.

Gessoed all, stamped with writing stamps and put some shimmer texture paste through the stencil.

                                                             

Coloured all with Lindy's Stamp Gang mists.

Finished all with black and white ink splashing.

I also glued a metal hanging at the back.

My take on the theme TIME TO TAKE FLIGHT is a butterfly sitting on altered 
round, wooden box. 

I started with gluing some paper pieces which I have stamped before. I have
also inked all the edges.

Then I prepared the gypsum head with hair from wool, all covered with brown
powertex. I added some beads in the hair too. 

Now it was time for wings. I fussy cut  a butterfly, than decided to use
only a part of it. I stamped it, added some texture paste through the
stencil and embellished it with some small chipboard butterflies.

It was later sprayed with some mists and painted with metal paint.

I arranged the butterfly on the top of my box, added some chipboard

pieces, beads and the word ,,dream''.

I made a card for wedding in sea spirit as the young couple are both devoted sailors.
I have used leftovers from packaging: ordinary cardboard for my background and some craft paper to make flowers. 
I have also used some ,,stones" from an old bracelet to make the flowers' heads.

I have made a small note-card ( 9x6 cm) to go with flowers for a young couple.
I have known them for years and I'm sure this will bring a smile on their faces.

Summertime

I am a bit late with my work today, but I have a good excuse.

Had finally moved to my new place and still been unpacking my stash..
