Easter

This time I have altered a wooden piece I have had for ages and

wanted to give it a new life.

I glued some tissue paper to the surface, added some gesso through the stencil and coloured all with my Gelatos.

I also used some acrylic paints for the edges. 

Prima flower along with die cut leaves and some beads are the only embellishments.

Early Spring

I am very excited to be here today as the Guest Designer for scrapping4funchallenges blog.
I am very thankful to the Team for inviting me join in with them. 
I decided to make a canvas reflecting approaching Spring.
She( the Spring) is a bit shy, the colours haven't been bright yet, but I am sure you can spot some growing buds. 

I have made the canvas using some fabrics hardened with Powertex.
I have also added some microbeads to get a nice textured background. 
The whole piece was gessoed then and sprayed with inks and mists. 
Some beads were glued to finish the whole piece.

Dreams

Today I want to share with you a canvas I have recently made. 
As I am looking for a new place to live, this piece is really reflecting  my dreams now.

To start with I used small wooden pieces which you can find attached to the canvas.

This is not my idea. I have seen it at Maremi's small art who I admire very much.

I decided to work on the back of the canvas to achieve an interesting,, frame".

I also added some twine and fastened all with lots of gel medium. 

When everything was dry I gessoed the whole piece and added some modeling paste to achieve more textured background.

There aren't many embellishments, just a wooden house, a wooden heart and a metal key. Oh, nearly forgot about my fav Prima flower which I have altered with micro beads and mists.

I used Lindy's Stamp Gang mists to spray my whole piece. 

The final touch was to add some stamping with dark brown ink.

Nature

I love altering things....
This time I have altered a wooden frame to match this beautiful photo my son took last year.
I wanted this frame to be a follow-up of the background.
I have used heavy modeling paste and texture paste through the stencil, covered all with gesso and then coloured it with acrylic paints and splashes of inks. 
The theme of our new challenge over at Try it on Tuesday is NATURE  .

Spring, are you coming?

Today I want to share another piece of mail art.

I altered a craft envelope inspired by forthcoming spring.

I primed it first with gesso. Then I glued some fussy cut flowers from an old card.

Stenciled some texture paste and added  some stamping.

There was also some inking and misting used.

I had a cheap plastic frame with a sample photo which I like, so I decided to give it a second life.

Used lots of mixed media products: clear gesso, inks and paints. 

Nearly always my works are gifts for family and  friends.
