Oops I did it again! I have played with another fish can.
This time I wanted to make a door hanging for  FabLab-
a fantastic place which helps children to develop their potential and creativity.
As always I started with priming the clean can with black gesso, then added lots of Dylusions ink and Inka Gold paint.
I used hot embossed chipboards, metal parts and an old part of a zipper.

Hi! Today is Tuedsday  and it means another fab challenge at Try it on Tuesday.

IN THE FRAME is our  new challenge theme. I am looking forward to see all your gorgeous project. My take on the theme is this altered box.

It all started with a metal horsie (9x10 cm), another handmade piece by my son Marcin.

I decided to alter a cardboard box- I needed one for my collection of buttons.

I glued some kind of mesh to the whole surface and paper doilies  to add some texture. I also steciled some gesso to the background.

I cut the cardboard frame and added some texture paste mixed with crumpled paper pieces. The horsie was given some texture paste with microbeads through the stencil too.

After priming the whole piece with gesso it was time for inking and misting.

I also added some glitter and some pearls accents to the frame and some stamping to the background.

I can't tell you too much  about my creative process- I have started with priming the canvas with gesso, next used Memory Box shine stencil along with modeling paste.
I also glued some beads to the background.
And then I went wild with paint, inks, mists, all I could find on my desk.

I thought used paint tubes would go perfectly with the picture.

I finished the piece with some stamping and doodling around the edges.

Przygotowałam kwadratową kopertę z użyciem mgiełek, tuszu i embossingu.

Dziś Wielki Dzień! Z wielką radością ogłaszam, że zostałam przyjęta do grona projektantek

Just Tag It  , a to jest moja pierwsza inspiracja na wyzwanie: Tag marynistyczny.

Ciekawostką jest tło z wykorzystaniem folii z opakowania ręczników papierowych, ze względu na fantastyczne bańki.

Christmas in July

It is the July 1st today and it means another fab challenge over at Mixed Media Mojo. 
It's Christmas in July around here so our challenge is Theme: Christmas / Twist: Santa.

My inspirational piece is a mixed media card.
It all started very harmlessly:

And then I went wild and after using some gesso I started adding inks, mists, embossing, gilding wax, glitters and star- shaped sequins. I have used texture paste to make the ornament.

The result was a bit surprising for me, but I quite like it. 

I would also like to play with liveandlovecrafts where the theme is Christmas in July too.
