Today is the start of another new challenge at Try it on Tuesday so I hope you will join us there for a 'Mums the Word Challenge'.
First thing to do is to visit TIOT to see what the rest of the team have made and also to check on our rules to be sure you are following them.
My take on the theme is a card I made for my Mum.
Let's hope she will enjoy it ;))
As usual you can follow some of my stages in the process:
I started with making backgrounds from some scraps I have die cut from some rests of paper.
Next I've given it a good wash of heavy gesso.
Then I put some platinum crackle texture paste, when it was dry it was distressed with brown ink.
I stamped the background with a crackle stamp, then I started to built the focal point.
To finish my card off I added some flowers, leaves, some moss, die cuts and metal embellishments.
I also added some colour with Dylusions paints.
I am also linking my card to:
mix it up: make your own background
vintage journey: treasure - lots of treasured things used here beginning from a resin frame, a metal bow, old turquoise earrings, some moss picked up in the forest and dried etc..
