Butterfly

Hi! Today I want to share an altered plastic butterfly hanging.
I used a piece of lace which I fussy cut and glued to the surface to add some texture.
The whole piece was covered with gesso and treated with Gelatos.
Then Deco Art Crackle Glaze was applied both to wings and the chipboard spoon.
To finish off I added some metal parts from my junk.

I'm playing along with:
vintagejourney: cracking up
thesisterhoodofcrafters: up up and away
craftybootschallenges: things with wings

  12. Wow - this is just amazing! Hard to believe it was just a plastic butterfly to start (I'd love to have seen a "before" picture as well as an "after"!). I love the texture from the lace and wonderful colours and crackle on the wings and the spoon. Thanks for joining us on A Vintage Journey.
