In Bloom

Today I am sharing a mixed media panel in rather not typical colours for me.

I was inspired by a beautiful moodboard at splashymixchallenge blog.

                                                     

It was a bit challenging, but at the end I was quite happy with the result.

A lot of mixed media products were used here from gesso, texture pastes, micro beads, acrylic paints, mists and inks to beeswax pastes.

The metal flowers and leaves, the resin birds, chipboard pieces and recycled beads were used to embellish the panel.

Like a Girl!

Today I am guest designing at Bleeding Art challenge blog.

I am very excited and wanted to thank so much the entire  team for this wonderful opportunity.

                                     

The theme of the challenge is ,,Add Stenciling''.

In my project I have used stenciling twice.

You can see it underneath:

Recycling is very close to my heart and I love to give  new life to ordinary objects.

This time I decided to alter a cardboard box and a part of perfume bottle☺.

Using stencils for the first time while making prints with gelli plate and acrylic paints.

Covering the whole surface with pulled prints.

Using a stencil again, this time with some texture paste.  

This was the way I made the ,,body".

The stamped head ( from Lynne Perrella) was mounted on a black rosette.

To finish off my project I emphasized the texture with Art Alchemy antique brilliance (Amethyst Magic) and added the badge with the important message.

It is meant for women fighting for their rights!❤
