Something to remember

Hi! Today I am sharing with you an altered clipboard I made for my male friend. That explains the presence of a pin-up girl on it:))

                                       

I started with covering all with white gesso, then inking, spritzing and splashing all sorts of inks, mists and paint until the colours satisfied me.

Next I added a girl and some shells cut out from a magazine.

I finished my piece off adding stamps I have  recently won from Visible Image, stenciling some circles, colouring and outlining.

Stitch It

Time for a new challenge at Try it on Tuesday where the theme this time is STITCH IT.

You can make anything you like and in any way you like so long as it follows the theme.

We hope you will join in with your take on this challenge.

Lots of inspiration from the rest of the team so pop and see what they have made. 

                                

My take on the theme is a card and as always you can see some of my steps.

I have started with masterboard made on canvas paper

                                                            

 Added lots of stamping and splashing.

                

                                        

Finished off with fussy cut flowers, buttons and chipboard stitches.

Coasters

Today I'm sharing with you some altered coasters I made recently.

They didn't impress me at all so I tried to make them a bit nicer...

just by gluing some pieces of coloured paper.

Also made a kind of mosaic by outlining the pieces with white pen.

Next I stamped the images on tissue paper and attached them to my coasters using gel medium.

I finished them off adding more stamping and splashing some inks.

I also gave them a coat of varnish to make them waterproof.

In my garden

Today I am sharing a little mixed media piece I made as my contribution for Try it on Tuesday
We have a new challenge there and the theme is IN MY GARDEN

It could be flowers, a scene, a pot plant, trees,  etc etc. Have fun.

What you make,  the style, medium format is, as always your choice as long as you use the theme.

                                  

My garden is made with a help of a stencil and texture paste and coloured with Gelatos.
It's finished off with some canvas flowers and faux stitches.

We would like you to  make/design a postcard or include one in your project.

As always the materials, format  and style you use is always up to yourselves

as long as you use out theme.
